  • Imodium Instant in tablet form, contains loperamide hydrochloride - used in the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea.The preparation is intended for adults and children over 6 years of age.

Imodium Instant Composition:
Hydrochloride 2mg loperamide,
other ingredients are gelatin, mannitol, aspartame, flavoring composition mint, sodium bicarbonate.

Imodium Instant Action:
Imodium Instant, a first aid in case of diarrhea of varying ichthyology.The active substance in Imodium Instant is loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg, which reduces intestinal peristalsis and thus prolongs the transit time of food through the intestines content. Furthermore, the use of loperamide hydrochloride in the treatment of diarrhea, also increases the resting tension of the anal sphincter, causing a delay of violent reaction bowel movement (pressure on the stool).

Function:
Imodium Instant used to treat diarrhea in adults and children over 6 years of age and patients fistula resulting ileitis, as Imodium Instant can be used to reduce the number and volume of stools and greater consistency.

Dosage:
The tablets Imodium Instant should be placed on the tongue and wait until it dissolves and swallow saliva. You do not need liquid to wash it down.
Adults and children over 6 years
Acute diarrhea: the initial dose - 2 tablets (4 mg) for adults and 1 tablet (2 mg) for children; followed by 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool.
Chronic diarrhea: the initial dose is 2 tablets (4 mg) per day for adults and one tablet (2 mg) per day for children; This initial dose should be adjusted until it reaches 1 to 2 normal stools per day, which is usually obtained by applying the maintenance dose of 1 to 6 tablets (from 2 mg to 12 mg) per day.
No dosage adjustment is necessary for patients with renal impairment and in elderly patients.
the maximum dose for acute and chronic diarrhea is 8 tablets (16 mg) daily for adults and children; pediatric dose must be adjusted to body weight (3 tablets / 20 kg body weight).
Do not use a dose higher than the maximum recommended dose.
