The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Type of application?
Apply the medicine to the affected skin area(s). Then massage in the medicine. Avoid accidental contact with eyes.

Duration of use?
The application should be continued for at least 1 week after the symptoms have disappeared. You should not use the drug for more than 2 weeks without medical advice if your symptoms have not improved after this time. The average duration of treatment is: for yeast infections: 2-3 weeks, for skin fungus infections 3-4 weeks, for athlete's foot up to 6 weeks.

If the drug is used as described, no overdose symptoms are known. If large amounts are accidentally swallowed, contact a doctor immediately.

Forgot application?
Continue the application as normal (i.e. not with double the amount) at the next prescribed time.

How does the ingredient in the drug work?

The active ingredient damages the outer shell, the so-called cell membrane of fungi. This shell thus loses some of its functions, for example it becomes less permeable to nutrients - the cell starves. Depending on the concentration of the active ingredient, the growth and reproduction of the fungi are inhibited or they die directly as a result of additional damage to the interior of the cell.

- Pregnancy: consult your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the drug can be used during pregnancy.
- Lactation: the drug should not be applied to the breast.

If you have been prescribed the drug despite a contraindication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk that the use entails in the event of a contraindication.

What side effects can occur?

- Hypersensitivity reactions of the skin, such as:
- skin irritation
- reddening of the skin
- itching
- burning sensation on the skin
- inflammatory reactions of the skin
- skin blisters
- skin rash
- scaling of the skin
- drying of the skin
- bleeding at the application site
- pain at the application site
- abnormal sensations such as tingling or pins and needles
- Contact dermatitis (allergic skin reactions that only occur with repeated use)
- Water retention (oedema)

If you notice any discomfort or changes during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

What should you consider?
- The drug must not be discontinued prematurely, otherwise a (renewed) outbreak of the disease is to be expected.
- Be careful if you are allergic to fungal agents (e.g. clotrimazole)!
- Be careful if you are allergic to the solvent propylene glycol (E number E 477)!
- Be careful if you are allergic to emulsifiers (e.g. cetostearyl alcohol)!
- Caution with sulfite allergy (E number E 220 - E 228)!
- Be careful if you are allergic to emulsifiers (e.g. sorbitan fat esters with E numbers E 493 and E 494)!
- Be careful if you are allergic to the solvent polyethylene glycol (E number E 431)!
