Antimicrobial foam dressing for acute and chronic wounds with signs of infection

Mepilex® Ag is a foam dressing for moderately exuding chronic or acute wounds, such as venous leg ulcers or burns, where there are signs of infection. Infected wounds are painful wounds that need to be treated in the best possible way. To ensure that pain when changing dressings is minimized, Mepilex Ag adheres to the gentle Safetac® technology1. To further improve the healing outcome, M< /> Mepilex Ag is intended for the treatment of weakly to moderately exuding wounds that show signs of infection. Mepilex Ag can be used under compression.
Mepilex Ag is a soft and highly conformable antimicrobial foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac layer seals the wound edges and prevents exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin, thereby minimizing the risk of maceration. Thanks to Safetac® technology, the dressing can be easily lifted or changed, minimizing trauma to the wound and pain for the patient.
Mepilex Ag renders wound-specific pathogens ineffective within 30 minutes and for a period of up to 7 days. By reducing the number of microorganisms, Mepilex Ag also reduces the odor.
