AMERTIL Bio hay fever, allergic reaction symptoms Composition of the tablets:


Active ingredient: 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride.
Excipients: lactose, cellulose mkrokrystaliczna, modified starch, magnesium stearate, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol.

 

AMERTIL Bio hay fever, allergic reaction symptoms How it works:


The tablets AMERTIL active substance is cetirizine which is a second-generation antihistamine with strong and long lasting effect.It is a selective antagonist of the histamine H1. No affinity for cholinergic receptors and serotonin, and does not cross the blood-brain barrier, so devoid of adverse sedative properties. It prevents an allergic reaction in the early stage and also reduces the migration of eosinophilic cells and reduces release of mediators of the allergic late phase. Cetirizine, administered orally, is absorbed quickly and completely, reaching a maximum concentration in the blood after about 60 minutes. Food does not affect the amount of drug absorbed.In about 93% bound to plasma proteins. The half-life of cetirizine average adult is about 8, and in children about 7 hours. Excreted within a few days, unchanged, primarily in the urine.

Tablets AMERTIL are used to prevent the allergic symptoms caused by the action of various allergens. It is indicated for the treatment of adults and children over 6 years of age ,: - chronic and seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever), - seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, - chronic urticaria.

Contraindications:
Preparation AMERTIL not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or other ingredients and hydroxyzine.

 

Dosage AMERTIL Bio hay fever, allergic reaction symptoms:


For adults and children over the age of 12 shall be applied generally 10 mg (1 tablet) per day, preferably in the evening. In children aged 6 to 12 years old medication is used depending on body weight. Children weighing more than 30 kg administered 10 mg (1 tablet) once a day, and children weighing less than 30 kg administered 5 mg (1/2 tablets) once daily. People particularly sensitive to the drug and children recommended dose may be administered in two doses every 12 hours. Without consulting a doctor, do not increase the recommended dose.
