Vitamin B12 deficiency, VITAMIN B12 RÖWO 1,000 μg ampoules Composition:
1 ampoule of 1 ml contains:
Cyanocobalamin 1000 g

Note: Cyanocobalamin belongs to the group of substances collectively referred to as “vitamin B12”.

Side effects:
Skin symptoms (acne as well as eczematous and urticarial drug reactions) and hypersensitivity symptoms (anaphylactic or anaphylactoid reactions) have been observed in individual cases.

Contraindications:
Vitamin B12 must not be used if you are hypersensitive to vitamin B12 or to any of the other components of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 contains sodium, but less than 1 mmol (23 mg) sodium per 1 ml, which means it is almost sodium-free. Due to the instability of vitamin B12, a loss of effectiveness of the vitamin can occur when other medicinal substances are added.

The recommended daily intake of vitamin B12 during pregnancy and breastfeeding is 4 g. Based on previous experience, higher doses have no adverse effects on the unborn child.

Vitamin B12 passes into breast milk.

Interaction with other agents:
Due to the instability of vitamin B12, admixture of other medicinal substances can lead to a loss of effectiveness of the vitamin.

Dosage instructions Vitamin B12 deficiency, VITAMIN B12 RÖWO 1,000 μg ampoules:
At the beginning of treatment, 1 ml vitamin B12 (equivalent to 1000 g cyanocobalamin) is administered twice a week in the first few weeks after diagnosis. If there is a proven vitamin B12 absorption disorder in the intestine, 100 g of cyanocobalamin are then administered once a month.

Vitamin B12 is usually administered intramuscularly by the therapist or other medical staff. However, it can also be given slowly intravenously. Vitamin B12 is intended for prolonged use.
