Flegamax Forte contains carbocysteine ​​which influences the composition of bronchial secretions. The drug is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases associated with excessive production of thick and sticky secretions.

Composition of Flegamax Forte treatments for respiratory diseases:

Active substance: carbocysteine ​​with lysine (Carbocisteinum lysinum). Each sachet contains 2700 mg of carbocysteine ​​with lysine, which corresponds to 1500 mg of carbocysteine, and excipients: aspartame (E 951), mannitol, anhydrous citric acid, povidone K30, orange flavor (corn maltodextrin, acacia gum, ascorbic acid, butylhydroxyanisole (E 320)).

The active substance in Flegamax Forte is carbocysteine. It influences the composition of bronchial secretions, contributing to its liquefaction. Thanks to this, the cilia, i.e. fine hairs lining the respiratory tract, have an easier job. The more fluid bronchial secretions are easier to transport and expel from the respiratory tract when coughing. The preparation is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of respiratory diseases with excessive production of thick and sticky secretions. During treatment, you should drink at least 2-3 liters of fluid to help cough up the secretions.

Additional information:
Store the product out of reach of children, at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Before using the drug in the following cases, a doctor should be consulted: the patient has a history of peptic ulcer; there is an abundant purulent discharge and fever, there is a chronic bronchial or lung disease, there is a reduced capacity to expectorate. In the event of bronchospasm, the drug should be discontinued immediately. Do not use Flegamax Forte together with antitussive drugs and drugs that reduce the secretion of bronchial mucus. Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding: it should be discussed with your doctor, however it is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The drug contains aspartame (E 951) - 30 mg in each sachet. Aspartame is a source of phenylalanine and may be harmful for people with phenylketonuria.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use in the case of an asthmatic state. Do not use in the case of active gastric or duodenal ulcer disease. Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking the drug. If any of the following side effects occur (frequency not known), stop treatment and seek medical help immediately - angioedema (severe allergic reaction) with swelling of the skin and / or mucous membranes, e.g. in the face, limbs, joints; Stevens-Johnson syndrome (blisters turning into erosions, on the mucous membranes of the mouth, conjunctiva, genitals). Other side effects (frequency unknown) - headache; stomach pain, diarrhea, gastrointestinal bleeding, nausea and vomiting; allergic skin reactions including rash erythematous, pruritus, hives, drug rash.

Dosage of Flegamax Forte sachets treatments for respiratory diseases:

Use as recommended on the leaflet or as directed by your doctor. Use orally. The recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is one sachet once a day. The contents of the sachet should be dissolved in half a glass of water. Stir until completely dissolved, drink immediately after preparation. Do not use for more than 4-5 days without a doctor's recommendation. If there is no improvement or worsening of symptoms after 4-5 days, a doctor should be consulted. During treatment, it is necessary to increase the fluid intake (minimum 2-3 liters of fluid a day). Do not take the drug at bedtime - use no later than 4 hours before bedtime.
