  • The medicinal product in the Otrivin Qatar and Gulf aerosol contains xylometazoline hydrochloride, menthol and eucalyptol. The drug reduces swelling and congestion of the nasal mucosa, thereby unblocking a stuffy nose. Additionally, it cools nicely.

Composition of Otrivin Qatar and the Gulf:

Active substance: xylometazoline hydrochloride (Xylometazolini hydrochloridum). 1ml contains 1mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride and the other components: sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium chloride, disodium edetate, levomenthol, cineol (eucalyptol), sorbitol, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, purified water.

Operation of Otrivin Qatar and the Gulf:

Otrivin Qatar and Gulf is a topical aerosol. Reduces congestion and swelling of the nasal mucosa. This contributes to the unblocking of the nose, which effectively facilitates breathing. The menthol and eucalyptol contained in the medical preparation Otrivin Qatar and the Gulf leave a pleasant feeling of coolness on the nasal mucosa. The drug starts to work already 2 minutes after application, and its effect lasts up to twelve hours. The product does not contain any preservatives.

Application:
Otrivin Qatar and Gulf is indicated for use in the case of excessive nasal congestion in the course of colds, allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. In addition, it can be used as an aid for otitis media. The preparation facilitates nose dissection. For use in adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.

Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. Not suitable for use in the mouth and eyes. People who take some antidepressants should consult a doctor about the use of a spray. Pregnant women and nursing mothers should consult a physician about the possibility of using the drug, but it is not recommended to take the drug during pregnancy. It is recommended that one package be used by one person.

Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Do not use after surgery performed by the nose (including removal of the pituitary gland) or surgery involving the exposition of the dura mater (brain surgery performed through the mouth or nose). Do not use in case of narrow-angle glaucoma. Do not use in the case of a significant dryness of the nasal mucosa (drying out of the nasal mucosa, atrophic rhinitis). Do not use below 12 years of age.

Side effects: Side effects
may occur with some people while taking the medicine. If you experience the following symptoms, stop using the medicine immediately and consult a physician: difficulty in breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat, severe pruritus with a red rash or blisters (these may be signs of an allergic reaction). Side effects that often occur: dryness or irritation of the nasal mucosa, feeling of discomfort in the nose, nausea, headache, burning at the injection site. Very rare side effects: allergic reaction (rash, itching), transient visual disturbances, irregular or accelerated cardiac activity.

Dosage of the Otrivin Qatar and Gulf aerosol:

Use as directed by your doctor or follow the instructions on the leaflet. Adults, adolescents over 12 years old: apply one dose to each nostril, apply three times daily (the last dose should be taken immediately before going to sleep). The maximum dose: three applications for each nostril.
