Astaxanthin is a red to violet dye found in plants and certain yeasts, which belongs to the carotenides - like the better-known yellow-orange carotene. Astaxanthin is one of the most effective natural antioxidants [1].

In my Control Vitality Astaxanthin, this nutrient is contained in microscopically small TINYspheres ^® , which means that it is absorbed by the body 7 times more effectively than conventional astaxanthin.

The TINYspheres ^® technology used is the first purely natural lipid-based transport system of its kind. The technology is a nanoscale oil-in-water emulsion developed to maximize the bioavailability of fat-soluble ingredients. Long-term stable, tiny oil droplets are produced that are able to deliver target substances to the human systemic circulation more quickly and in significantly larger quantities.

Astaxanthin is one of the most effective natural antioxidants: It is 6,000 times more potent than vitamin C, 800 times more potent than coenzyme Q10 and 550 times more potent than vitamin E.[1] This property makes astaxanthin a supporter of human cells and organs, such as the stomach and intestines, liver, heart and circulatory system, nervous system, eyes and skin. [2]

Information on astaxanthin is based on the state of research considered to be reliable for this nutrient in the relevant specialist literature. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has not yet issued any approved health claims for astaxanthin.

Allow
my Control Vitality Astaxanthin to work under the tongue for approx. 1 minute. This allows the ingredients packed in microscopically small TINYspheres ^® to be absorbed by the body through the oral mucosa in maximum quantities and in the shortest possible time. Since absorption does not first occur in the gastrointestinal tract, it can be used regardless of meals.

Storage
Recommended storage: Closed, dry, protected from light and cool at 5 - 25 °C.

Shelf life
In the unopened original container 24 months from the date of manufacture. If the container is opened and stored for more than 6 months, the quality may deteriorate. Due to the use of natural ingredients, color changes may occur. These have no influence on the quality of the product.
